Are you ready to unleash your creativity this summer? Look no further! I'm excited to share two new workshops focused on wet felting that are now open for booking. Whether you're an experienced crafter or trying your hand at a new skill, these workshops are designed to inspire you and enhance your artistic journey. Join us this season to create unique felted pieces in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

What is Wet Felting?

Wet felting is an age-old textile art that turns wool fibers into a strong, beautiful fabric using just water, soap, and a bit of elbow grease. This technique is perfect for crafting everything from detailed wall hangings to warm and cozy accessories. What makes wet felting special is that every piece is one-of-a-kind, showcasing your individual creativity and style.

Not only does wet felting allow you to make stunning items, but it's also a fantastic way to relax and express yourself. So, come with your ideas and let’s make something exceptional together!

Workshop 1: Felting a Fantastic Mr Fox

This workshop is tailored for intermediate felt makers ready to explore the next stage of felting in 3D- a " book resist" project.

During this engaging morning, I'll walk you through the basics , we will felt the skeleton of a fox and you will go home with the materials ready to "dress him".

What You'll Learn:

  • Hands-On Techniques: You'll practice how to lay down fibers, soak and agitate them, and shape them into your unique design.

  • Home you will go- armed with ideas and ready to dress your fox... will he wear a bobble hat or glasses- you decide!

At the end of the day, you'll take home your own handmade felt creation, plus the knowledge to continue felting on your own.
