Ba Hons Fashion/ Textiles, 25yrs+ experience, TAP training.
Tamzen is a textile felt-maker. Born in Belfast, she works from her home in Maynooth, Co. Kildare. You will find her surrounded by fibre, up to her elbows in soap lather, dancing to the radio, chatting with her three kids and whooshing the cat off the table!

Teaching Experience
Tamzen is a textile professional of 25+years’ experience.
Since 2020 she has worked on her own design and arts practice, returning to her first love of handmade textiles, and felt. After a career both in-house and freelance in Fashion design and Buying.
The process of wet felt making requires fibre, soap, water, and agitation, using your hands and imagination. Tamzen’s art practice is playful and experimental. She is inspired by stories and the Irish landscape.
She has a Ba Hons Degree ( 1st class) Fashion & Textiles. QQI level 5- Early Childcare and Creativity
Tamzen is a TAP trained artist (Teacher Artist Partnership). She has experience teaching in schools, libraries, and private workshops for both children, teenagers and adults.

Picture shows Head of Enterprise Jacquai McNabb and Minister Neale Redmond- being presented a Fox Faux Taxidermy by Tamzen as a thank you gift on behalf of the LEO.
Tamzen has also worked closely with the Riverbank Arts and Theatre Centre, Newbridge. Showing her work in the Children's Gallery Space- together with a series of workshops. ( Exhibition 2022, workshops- seasonal '22, '23).

Sustainability at heart
All packaging at Tamzen Lundy Designs is biodegradable/ compostable. Quite a lot of it is also reused- online orders are sent in an #UGLY BOX ( ie; reused and 2nd life).
Tamzen collects packaging from her neighbours year round, in an effort to minimise waste.
The main raw material in her quirky products is WOOL- and it doesn't get better than the carbon storing, biodegradable, fully sustainable wonder fibre that is wool!
