I know, I know... it’s actually February, but January was so action packed after and already busy Christmas season that I find I'm still catching my breath!
That and ( literally) catching my breath... suffering from this dreaded lurgy that seems to have taken half the country out... I've been coughing and hacking and am now waaaay too familiar with different consistencies of mucus and phlegm!
Good lord it feels like Vicks Vapo rub is my new body scent.
In the 3rd week of January I attended Showcase 2025 and happily had a wonderfully inspiring few days.
I met lovely neighbours and fellow craft makers and importantly connected with existing small independent retail shops whom I supply and made some really gorgeous new connections too.
My small range of products will now be available in Dublin, Waterford, Kilkenny, Kerry, Sligo, Donegal, Connemara, Galway, Down, Tipperary and Kildare!! Have I forgotten anyone?
The Shop in Kildare- GATHER @ Southwell’s has reopened. I was working there myself on Bank Holiday Monday, the St Brigid’s weekend. Here you’ll now find 20 different Kildare based brands. My range is there in full, with a few extras thrown in to boot! I often trial new “test ideas” and have a few bits you won’t find anywhere else, including some large-scale artworks, which are always original.
Which brings me to the last little bit of proud news… One of my larger works was recently gifted to Sir Bob Geldof by way of a thank you from Kildare County Council as he had just headlined at a St Brigid’s Festival in Athy. Its lovely to think my work is in the hands of a man who said “give us your fuckin money “on the BBC… legend.

One place left by the way in the upcoming workshop- held in the little workshop space beside the GATHER shop ( Kildare market Square)… Feb 16th, Sunday morning… treat yourself to a making experience. We will be making a felt wool and silk necklace… would love to see you there. ( Booking available through my site)
