I want to tell you about something really special!...
Opening next week (and consider yourself invited) is a wonderful new initiative supported by Kildare County council and the Local Enterprise Office- our POP-UP STORE!!
In the Old grocery Store- Southwell’s, on the Market Square, in the heart of Kildare town, you’ll find a group of 11 Kildare based creatives who have come together under the umbrella name of “O Lamha” (that’s O- Laaw Vaa… meaning “from the hands” in Irish.
I am so proud of this bunch, who’ve come together so quickly, working collaboratively to make such a gorgeous space, full to the brim of quality merchandise.
You’ll find Jackie's candles- @ Kildarecandlebarn, sure she’s in her hometown… There is Laura from @picklepompom when you need a beautiful card to go with a gift. Perhaps there is a new baby, and you need to pick something from Tanyas range @fiadhandfinn?
Need soap for sensitive skin- Magda from @puroskar has you covered. The shop smells divine, that’s because mag has filled it with @essentialaromotheraphy wax melts.
I always like a chopping board made by warren @coolree for a new home gift or if it’s a special occasion maybe you might choose a piece of Cara’s jewelry @loinnir or one of Claires silk scarves @imprintsandink.
To give yourself a little pick me up and add a pop of colour to your outfit you could choose from Sarah’s jewelry range @sarahmcevoydesigns.
The summer sun is shining off Sarah’s pieces @sarahfusedglass and I’ve already picked out the one I am going to buy… oh yes and there is me… a little snippet of my range, with some original and one of art pieces too!
We would love you to some to our opening evening on Thursday 27th 5pm… with light refreshments and shopping, lots of chat and a chance to talk to the makers.
Of course, if you can’t make it that night, we are open all summer Thursday- Sunday 10am-5pm… We’d love you to call in, see what we make, see what we do, support local and shop local!
You may have met some of us when we were together in Kildare village… we are calling this “baby gather” … and you know what they say about raising children- “it takes a village”, actually we think it takes a town- KILDARE TOWN!
Do come along, you will be very welcome.
X tamzen
and as usual I will be @purplellamamarket on June 30th, for those of you in the North of the county!
